الجزائر: أرض الشمس والبحر والرمال

تعتبر الجمهورية الديمقراطية الجزائرية ثاني أكبر بلد في إفريقيا بعد السودان. وهي تقع على الساحل الجنوبي للبحر الأبيض المتوسط وتطل من الجهة الشمالية على إيطاليا، ويقدر عدد ساكنتها بحوالي 2.5 مليون نسمة، ويسكن معظمهم على بعد 100 أميال من ساحل البحر. الجزائر مقسمة إداريا إلى حوالي 48 إقليم وحوالي 12 تمثل ثلاثة أرباع البلد الواقعة في الصحراء الشاسعة. عاصمة الجزائر هي الجزائر. ومن أكبر المدن هناك وهران وقسطنطينة.
