March 2, 2011 -- The 11th Amazigh Film Festival of Azzefoun (FCNAFA) will open March 19th in Tizi Ouzou province, El Watan reported on Wednesday (March 2nd). Eleven Algerian and foreign films will vie for the top award, while 14 other films will participate in a first-ever competition for young talents, the "Amazigh Panorama". The five-day event includes a roundtable on Amazigh cinema. Five films from Morocco and Canada, along with French-Algerian production Sur les Traces de Taous Amrouche, will also be screened.

Eleven short Algerian and foreign films will vie for the top award during the 5-day festival, while 14 other films will participate in a first-ever competition for young talents. The Tizi-Ouzou event includes a roundtable on Amazigh cinema and training workshops.
