ALGIERS, April 28 (KUNA) -- Industry Minister Mahmoud Khithri underscored on Friday the need to upgrade the Arab textile industry standard and stressed the importance of luring investors to this sector.

Speaking to Kuna here, he said opening the Arab markets would develop the inter-Arab trade exchange, encourage the exchange of expertise and lure foreign investors to the Arab textile industry.

He said the Arab governments have to upgrade the Arab textile industry standard within the current international circumstances that are characterized with heated competition in this field.

He cleared out that the competent authorities in his country decided to subsidize the government and private sector textile companies.
