ALGIERS, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- Algerian President Abdul-Aziz Bouteflika called on Monday for joint Arab efforts to unify economic policies.

Speaking at the opening of the 30th meeting of Arab central banks and monetary agencies, Bouteflika stressed the necessity of achieving actual unification of banking and monetary systems in Arab nations, which could be achieved through overall cooperation and coordination.

While saying that the banking sector plays a great in overall and continuous growth, he urged providing further support to the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF).
