Algiers, Sept. 12, (BNA) Algerian President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, called on all Arab countries to set up a strong, integral and developed industrial basis.

He said today in a speech give on his behalf by his advisor, Habba Al Okbi, at the opening of the first Arab conference which discussed industrial matters, that the challenge facing Arab countries in building an integral industrial basis consisted in establishing a co-operation network between companies. He also praised Arab firm and outstanding performance which paved the way for them to become real partners of car, airplane and truck and textile companies. The Algerian President called upon all Arab countries to go ahead in enhancing coordination and integrity via Arab industrialists cooperation. He explained that the conference will pave the way for businessmen to know each other, discuss key issues and sign agreements to further bolster cooperation.

According to the Algerian President, this conference is important for the Arab World because of the challenges laid by the globalisation of economy and commerce. He recommended that Arab companies' products be able to compete at the world market...
