PARIS— French insurance broker, Gras Savoye, announced Monday that it will create a branch in Algeria that will provide risk management consulting and services.

Gras Savoye Algerie Services will provide services and consulting in risk management, auditing, and prevention, as well as risk management assistance, a spokeswoman said.

It will concentrate on services in mergers and acquisition operations, project finance, and environment, she said.

Because Algerian law only allows Algerian citizens to conduct insurance broking, Gras Savoye Algerie Services will not be an insurance intermediary, the spokeswoman explained.
