Algeria's National Investment Council (CNI), chaired by Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem, approved four investment projects on Monday (April 23rd), El Moudjahid reported. The approved projects include Divona Algeria, which seeks to establish a public satellite telecommunications network in Algiers, the El Kendi project to construct a pharmaceuticals plant in Algiers, the Shariket Kahraba Hadjret Enouss power station project in Tipasa and the Ferital project for the construction of ammonia plants in Annaba and Arzew.

In related news, some 400 privatisation operations were carried out by the Participations and Investments Promotion Ministry, APS reported. To facilitate the process, a two-day investment meeting opened on Sunday in Oran. According to ministry official Hamoud Benhamdine, the pace of the privatization process in the country has been stepped up in the past two years.
