ALGERIA, January 11, 2010 (Saba) -- Minister of Finance Noman al-Sohibi held a meeting on Monday in Algeria capital with his Algerian counterpart Karim Djoudi over economic and financial cooperation between the two countries. In the meeting, al-Sohibi valued the role of Algeria in supporting the development process in Yemen since the 1960s, pointing to the good level of the relationship between Yemen and Algeria under the leadership of both countries. On the other hand, al-Sohibi discussed with the governor of central bank of Algeria, Mohammed Laksaci, aspects of the cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries in the economic arena.

SANA'A, January 23, 2010 (Saba) - Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel held talks on Saturday with the Algerian ambassador to Yemen Abdul-Wahab Bu Zaher on the mutual cooperation in trade, industry and investment fields. The talks dealt with the means of activating the recommendations of the joint ministerial committee and to be implemented within a fixed timeframe. Al-Mutawakel affirmed the Yemeni adherence to benefit from the Algerian experience in the industrial parks and support the cooperation to develop the industry sector in Yemen. The meeting also discussed ways of coordinating between the two countries to promote the bilateral cooperation.

SANA'A, March 1, 2010 (Saba) -- Yemen and Algeria affirmed on Monday the importance of speeding up the formation of the joint agriculture committee and to be convened soon. Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Mansour al-Hawshabi and the Algerian ambassador to Yemen Abdul Wahab Bu Zaher agreed on implementing all executive programs of the Memorandum of Understandings and agreements signed between Yemen and Algeria previously. Al-Hawshabi and Bu Zaher touched on the significance of exchanging agricultural expertise in the domains of livestock, beekeeping, growing olive, agricultural quarantine and plant protection. The meeting also dealt with the several issues to strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field.

SANA'A, November 8, 2010 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar inaugurated in Sana'a on Monday the first Algerian Products Exhibition in Yemen. The Algerian Exhibition kicked off November 8 and will end on November 13. During his tour in the exhibition, the Premier was briefed by the Algerian ambassador to Yemen Abdul Wahab Bu Zaher on the contents of exhibition, which aims to introduce Algerian products and their quality level to Yemeni businessmen and citizens. The number of Algerian companies participating in the exhibition reached 20 in the fields of foodstuffs, pharmaceutical, electronics, gas and others. Mujawar expressed his satisfaction of the well-organized exhibition, affirming the government's keenness to develop cooperation and inter-Arab trade.
