Im pretty good at computers and I can usually figure out any problems I have on my own. However, lately my computer has been acting funny and running slower than usual. I thought maybe a virus but it wasnt. Then I thought Spyware (cause the problem was mostly with the internet) but again nothing. I checked all the tasks that are in the Task Manager but nothing out of the ordinary. I know Internet Explorer has lots of bugs but I never have problems with it except these last couple of days. Any suggestions on what it might be ??? Do you think that having only 50GB free on a 160GB hard drive would be the problem ? I dont think its that but yuo never know. Any help would be appreciated.

I was pretty sure that it wouldnt effect but I had to make sure. I rarely ever get stuck trying to fix a problem on the computer (or to do anything on it for that matter) but I couldnt find anything for this. Also, it seems the more movies I download, the slower the computer gets, thats why I asked!

Ya Tony ya Stark
Ok usually we try to isolate the problem. In your case you said the slowness is just when you access internet, hense it has absolutely nothing to do with your hard drive, of which I can see you have plenty of spare and therfore not a problem anyways.
Now, you say u are using 3afif, I dont use it but I guess it`s good, as long as you make sure u update your virus signatures regularly. I use AVG its free!
Now let`s move to the adware, what do you use? do you update regularly similarly? I use Zone Alarm its free!
Ok so you have all this but still this virus or spam is getting arround it?
then I usually resolve to my hands.
In the middle of the mess when everything stops running I rush to the process time, ctrl-alt +del. Then I find out the name of the program which is consuling the most time, say 55% and fluctuating.
Oh boy, what have I got here! I do a search on the file name, try to delete it but windows says I cannot!
Ok things are getting dirty and serious.
So what I do I restart windows in Safe Mode, then look for it again and delete it!
taste it you bastard! you wanted this to happen!
Now before you connect to the net (unplug the bloody wire), make sure u scan your computer and dowload all updates, then plug the thinggy.
Sometimes you just have to do it the naughty way!

Re: Ya Tony ya Stark
Spyware: McAfee and Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. I only open them to run scans so they're usually closed.
As for ctrl+alt+del, last time I did it, it said that MSN was using the most resources (88MB or something retarded like that). Another time it was internet explorer.
However, i'm pleased to say that the problem seems to have dissappeared (for now). Thanks for all your input.
