I have a few questions:
I want my family in Dz to get internet connection with Assila (the Box + option)
How can one go about getting this? do they need to switch from PTT to Assila, is it easy to do that? are there any extra costs to the monthly payment described on Assila website...
Your advice is welcome.

None of the active members here is in DZ but still some Algerians even abroad know how it works there and do always help, of course.
Pandora,
You will keep your Algerie Telecom line and number and continue to pay l'abonnement. Once you register with Eepad (for Assila), Eepad will arrange everything with Algerie Telecom so that AT connects you to Eepad ADSL network (degroupage). This might take one day or several weeks, nti wzahrek
(that's the biggest risk).
Eepad will give you the Assila box which is an ADSL modem + internet phone (number 0820xxxx will b given to u after registration). It seems the loan of the modem is already included in the cost but I am not sure.
So ppl will b able to call you on both numers, the AT one and the 0820 (of course your box must be on). And u will b able to call for free every Assila box, and have credits for other numbers depending on the contract you have with Eepad.
Assila offers 256, 512 and 1024 kb/s downdtream connections. Make sure you select the one which works with your line. Ppl from AT or Assila should be able to tell u if your line can handle high bit rates.
That's what I can think of right now. Let me know if u have any specific question.Avant d'ecrire il faut savoir lire,
