Salam All!

What does it mean when your memory card (for a camera) says "format error". When I put it in my computer, it says "do you want to fix this error" and I do, and it fixes it - supposedly. But when I put it back in the camera, it says format error again. I'm kinda thinking that this is the death of the memory card, but I'm hoping not...
