"X program ended unexpectedly.
Do you want to send an error report to Microsoft?"
Usually I mutter unrepeatable things under my breath and click "Don't Send."
But there's a simple way to permanently turn off that annoying prompt:.
- Go to Control Panel.
- Click System.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Click Error Reporting.
- Click the "Disable Error Reporting" radio box, but select the "But notify me when Critical Errors Occur".

Girrrrrls, I have no intentions of start an anti-M_S campaign here, but that prompt annoys!
Trying to think technically... I believe they do collect user's... craches/ reportings and try to fix them and determine the vulnerabilities and bugs; everyone of us gets theirs N hotfixes. But the problem is always in the users' machine/system and ...
[crying]
... for all my my error-msgs, I've never got any phone call, letter, email, IM or PM from Mr. Bill G...

For another opinion, read Using Microsoft Online Crash Analysis.
Disable/enable it? It's up to you.

yeah right! call him

Well, i heard already about conflicting programs.... old data won't show up... etc. etc. I was recommended to wait till there is a newer version of Vista as the first Vista still has mistakes in it
Can you imagine that?
I've been told to wait a few years till it is time to buy a new PC with the imprved Vista version.....
