    Error Reporting

    "X program ended unexpectedly.
Do you want to send an error report to Microsoft?"

Usually I mutter unrepeatable things under my breath and click "Don't Send."

But there's a simple way to permanently turn off that annoying prompt:
    1. Go to Control Panel.
    2. Click System.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab.
    4. Click Error Reporting.
    5. Click the "Disable Error Reporting" radio box, but select the "But notify me when Critical Errors Occur".
    .

Girrrrrls, I have no intentions of start an anti-M_S campaign here, but that prompt annoys!
Trying to think technically... I believe they do collect user's... craches/ reportings and try to fix them and determine the vulnerabilities and bugs; everyone of us gets theirs N hotfixes. But the problem is always in the users' machine/system and ...

    [crying]
... for all my my error-msgs, I've never got any phone call, letter, email, IM or PM from Mr. Bill G...

For another opinion, read Using Microsoft Online Crash Analysis.

Disable/enable it? It's up to you.

    yeah right! call him
Well, i heard already about conflicting programs.... old data won't show up... etc. etc. I was recommended to wait till there is a newer version of Vista as the first Vista still has mistakes in it Can you imagine that?
I've been told to wait a few years till it is time to buy a new PC with the imprved Vista version.....

We still use the '18 months parameter' when talking about computer's time/ senility, but, let's say 6 months for a new version/product to get consolidate in the market (talking in general, not specifically about M.S. products and its 'attachments')
