Abu Dhabi Mosques to go high-tech

Abu Dhabi mosques are to introduce an electronic network system which will see prayer and prayer call timings, titles of Friday sermons and Islamic lectures displayed on electronic screens, Gulf News reports.

Friday sermons and lectures will also be recorded on MP3 devices and stored in electronic archives which will be available on the Internet.

Implementation of the system is currently underway, according to a National Consultative Council (NCC) report prepared in consultation with the General Authority of Islamic and Awqaf Affairs.
