    Another arabic text related issue

so ive got the translations from al khiyal, but what i want to do is copy and paste some txt into designs on photoshop, but what is happening when i paste is the txt appears backwards.

So does anyone know how i can get the txt to paste from right to left? Maybe it requires some arabic fonts to be installed?

Have you tried cutting and pasting into a word document first? That should place the text as you want it.

the problem is the same in word, it pastes from left to right.

Ive installed arabic fonts aswell, i think it requires a add-on which allows me to write from right to left.

Can you copy an Arabic font file into the fonts folder and then restart Photoshop? I'm not sure why you're meeting that problem, I guess I must have the right fonts etc installed. There might be a tip for you here. Good luck, I hope that You can sort it out soon.

    hi,
I think for word you need to make some changes to your system.
First I think you have to setup the arabic as the language for non-unicode programs(in Regional and language options), after installing the support files for arabic of course.
If you are using OFFICE XP or above make sure that the text direction is from right to left before pasting your text.
Go to Format >>paragraph>>General>>direction>>right to left. and press the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT buttuns to toggle between the left-right-left.
and one more thing you need to check out is the office languge settings Start>>programs>>MS Office >>>languge settings and add Arabic
and for PS, you need probably to use CS2 Middle East Edition which supports Arabic.
    Hope this will heép.
    Salam.

the same thing happens to me.... first thing... how do you switch from english font to arabic? if u use Ctrl+Shift like me then just use the right handed Ctrl+Shift and it goes to the right.

Other than that - Reda's reply look good
