    Windows XP SP3

Windows XP SP3 RC (release candidate) now on Microsoft Download Center

Download Windows XP SP3 RC [windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-x86-enu.exe]

The new activation scheme will not require a product key during XP installation and unlike XP SP1 or SP2, you can uninstall XP SP3 using the Add Remove programs module.

No, the post means that if you use Win XP (does not matter if it's in mono or dual-boot), you can download from Microsoft the Service Pack 3 (SP3) Release Candidate (RC). That's all!
(RC 'versions' are like beta version and you install them at own risk.)
The final SP3 is expected to be released in early 2008.

Removing Vista and 'rolling back' to XP is another completely different 'animal'.
If I'm not wrong, the procedure depends on whether your Vista is the only OS (operational system) installed, or if it's the OS that came with your brand new PC/ laptop (you can lose the guarantee) or if you upgraded to Vista.

I remember 'scanning' (with my eyes) a tech article about it, in the past. But I'm afraid I did not save that link, because meanwhile, I'm avoiding Vista as I run away from IE (Internet Exploded, pardon, Explorer), hotmail and MSN, ya3ni, running without looking back.

BB, I just 'googled' the subject now and got ~1,300,000 results!
We have to filter that for the reliable sources only and perhaps, start a new thread, a mini FAQ where we can share and expose our experiences and Q&A. Just don't ask me to install the maleditto-Vista, only to simulate the situation here, PLZ.

    Good girrl!
Now, go ahead and 'Linux-ize', if you dare.

I can introduce you (with all the respect and professionalism) to an intelligent-polite-funny and dear friend of mine in Ramallah, who happens to be the 'bam-bam-bam' of Fedora in ALL the Middle East.
