When you speak about inernet and computer with Algerian educational community is like speaking chineese in "Hassi Babah".
Let me explains:
It happens that I am an Algerian educator and my bad luck makes me thinking about how Algeria can improve and update its education through Information Technology IT.
What is wrong with me is that I started to integrate some activities in my English Course such as information literacy ,ask students to e-mail each others in English to improve their
wrinting skills.I spoke many instances in many national and international seminars and conferences explaining how Algeria can infuse educational technologies in its education but
"La hayat li man tonady"- No life to you speek-
When you ask any educator here in Algeria about let your students and you benefits from web2.0 and social media like blogs wiki flick twitter, he/she answer you.The answer: I have not a computer and connection to internet in my home and in my college our faculty.
And if it happens that he/she has computer and connection to inernet at home and in his/her working place he /she will tell you that our students are not ready for learning with internet .
The reality he/she is not ready to loose control in classroom and he/she is not ready to stop teaching and let students learn from him/her and from other sources in the web .
"Ma cha AAllah"
We have many virtual universities (UFC ,CNED,ONEFD,INEPTIC)and other I don't know claim that they benefit from inernet and integrate IT in education "what a joke" The reality they upload obsolete static courses in the web and they don't let students learn from the inernet.
I stop here today and in my next thread I will give more details about how we are stupid because we don't benefit from internet in Algerian education .
Waiting the feedback fromAlgerian educators even in Frech or Arabic I ask you to open special link for Algerian educators
My Best Regards
