March 14, 2011 -- After launching an Arabic version, YouTube has started offering local versions for Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Yemen. With those local versions, people who visit the YouTube will watch on the homepage the most popular videos in their home country along with those that are rising in popularity. This sound like a logical step as YouTube is growing in popularity in the region, where many more active users from professional media and new users are uploading videos everyday to the number one video sharing platform in the world. YouTube is also offering recommended channels based on shared videos, and other channel subscriptions.
