Seriously, I would like to read a good & simple Algerian recipe of a fish-dish.

Algerian fish soup

2 Tbs olive oil
1 large spanish onion
2 cloves garlic
1 10-ounce can whole tomatoes
1 tsp paprika
a pinch of crushed saffron
salt and pepper to taste
2 large potatoes
3 stalks of celery diced
2 cups of chicken broth
1 1/2 pounds firm white fish



Heat oil in a large pan and saute onion until translucent. Add garlic and tomatoes and continue to simmer until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Add spices, potatoes and broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Add fish and continue to cook until the fish flakes. Pure soup in blender or food processor. Return to stove and simmer over low heat for an additional 10 minutes

I am fascinated by cuisine, but you can say I am a beginner. I unfortunately don't cook very often coz i hate eating alone

There is an old joke as to why the Jews are so intelligent.

Read below:

Abdul: Hey david ! How come you people, the Jews, are so intelligent ?
David: That is because we eat a special type of fish.
Abdul: Can you tell me what is that fish?
David: Nothing comes free Abdul.
Let us go to a restaurant and order two
platefull that fish-dish and
YOU pay for that.
Abdul: Okay that is a small price to pay for such a
useful infomation..

So both went to a restaurant.
David called the waiter and secretely ordered two plates of a particular fish.
The dish came and Abdul took a bite of the fish and exclaimed:

Abdul: Hey, David! but this is nothing but simple mackerel!!!

David: See..See ! You are ALREADY getting intelligent !
