Ingredients:
* 2/3 cup finely ground almonds
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 egg white, slightly beaten
* 1 teaspoon orange flower water
* 2 or 3 drops food coloring [optional - red or green]
* 24 dates
Preparation:
* Mix together ground almonds and sugar.
* Mix in beaten egg white, orange flower water.
* Beat well, using a spoon.
* If desired, pour in food coloring; mix well.
* Divide paste into 24 equal parts.
* Shape each part into a small almond.
* Half dates lengthwise; remove stones.
* Fill dates with almond paste.
* Dust with sugar.

If you don’t like dates, stuff erm’

Icing sugar looks more attractive when presenting the dates.
