    Thumbs up

    Walaikum Salaam Sister Amirah,

Oh my the dreaded M'hadjeb! Well they are so beautiful to eat but sooo difficult to make, at least I think so. My mother-in-law showed me how and then I tried it with her....they turned out not so bad. Well then I was feeling adventurous and tried them on my own...............what a disaster! The pastry case all fell apart when I tried to lift it to the hotplate and all the stuffing fell out on the counter top! It was like I had blown up the M'hadjeb and my husband was LAUGHING! :)
I have never tried again, I think it is better to leave it to the experts in this case. My mother-in-law said that she had been doing them since she was a girl and it takes lots of practice to perfect them. I don't know maybe someone knows an easy way to describe the whole process but for me it is much more simple just to buy them!
Take care and share any recipes you have insha'Allah.

    Salaamu Alaikum

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahamtullah ukhti Umm Aiman,

Jazakallah khair for replying. I think you're right sis, the best thing is to just buy them or wait until my mother-in-law comes again inshaallah! I know an English convert who makes them perfectly mashaallah. She did show me how to make them once but I forgot to write it down and now she has made hijrah to Algeria so I can't ask her to show me again!

I recommend the following website for recipes: http://www.recipezaar.com It's excellent, I've made so much stuff from there.

    Take care,

    Amirah
