I agree , there is nothing a good couscous with plenty of lamb and veggies .. Unfortunately my kids are not fond of couscous so when i make it , the make faces but eat it anyway.

I love the dark Onion and raisins they add on top in Morocco (lived in Morocco for a decade ) i can never have enough of it .

Thank you for the link. I think Algerian food is the best in

the world. I liked all those pictures from Algeria, especially

the ones with fishermen, we are missing the sardines.

What can I say , I'm speechless!!! and my mouth is watering, but I can tell you, that you woke in me some very nice memories of my childhood,my aunts and their MAKHTOUMA and all this delicious dishes,the best couscous, and oh my God I'm dying for the sardines, well thank you very much

Hello all,

I totally agree about Algerian food being the best in the world. Couscous is a very balanced dish as well. A source of protein from the meat, carbohydrates from the couscous grains and vitamins and minerals from the vegetables. What a good combination! Nos ancêtres les berbères-après tout- nous ont laissés un plat excellent !

The sardines in Algeria are the best, well in Sicily as well . But the thing that the Algerian women are unbeatable at is : the sweets, yaatihoum saha

Ta3m is my fave dish ever. Don't like none of the cold Cous Cous they do in supermarkets though.
