Jannah has ordered me to start a thread on Indian cuisine.
    So here I am:

India being a very large country,
6000 kms from north to south, and east to west,
It has a many varieties of cuisines.

But it can be broadly classified as per the regions:
    --South Indian cuisine(AP,TN,Karnataka,Kerala)
    --North indian(MP, UP)
    --Moghlai( Muslim)
    --Western Indian Cuisine( Punjabi,Gujarati,Rajasthani)
    --East Indian(Bengali,Assamese)
    --Keralite
    --Goan cuisine(Portugese)
    --Kashmiri
    And many others.

    Each one is unique.

There are very many variations in each regional cuisine.
    Hundreds of varieties.

Many websites are active on this subject.

Just type "Indian Cuisine" & google search.

    You will find many websites.

    So Jannah.. Good going!

    See Jannah! I told you.

Not many would be interested in Indian Cuisine.

    Just 29 views & 3 posts, yours & mine.

That shows basically people are loath to try out new type of cuisines.

This is very much a folk sweet.
    Called 'panch-amrit'-five nectars.
    Does not need heating.

    Ingredients:

    Very ripe sweet bananas-pealed & mashed--1 kilo
    Sugar cane's brown jaggery-crushed 700 gms
    Clarified butter-unsalted 200 gms
Soft brown fresh dates-crushed 200 gms
Cardamom or any other flavorings 50 gms
    (Optional:kishmiss,cashew)

Mix bananas, jaggery & dates in a mixing bowl thoroughly by hand.
Add flavorings & clarified butter, beat & mix well with a spoon.

Make it to a thick but flowing consistancy.

Can be kept outside or Put in a container in the fridge.

    Tastes good for a week.

Can be eaten with pancakes, bread, couscous or as such.
