    Cool Hot Chocolate

I am hunting for the best recipe for the best hot chocolate ever... Carluccios style

I've come across so many recipes, some use cocoa powder, some use chocolate bars; some use milk, others use jersey cream; some simmer the choc/milk mixture till it thickens, others use a shaker...

I have a froth maker but instead of experimenting I thought I'd see if anyone has a really good recipe to share.

Charbonnel & Walker is meant to be the best. The truffles aren't bad either. http://www.charbonnel.co.uk/

    Salam Amina
It depends of how strong of flavor you like in you choclate , you can always add some coco powder to it to make it strong .
    one of my favorites:
2 -3 tables spoons of semi sweet choclate ( bar or chips)
    6 onces of milk
    4 onces of cream
1 vanilla bean , or 1/2 tsp vanilla
melt choclate in double boyle ( au bain marie)
cut the vanilla bean lenghtwise and scrape the beans then mix into milk add cream , and transfer to the stove , and heat midium hi to exract vanilla flavor, strain to get vanilla bean out , then mix into melted choclate , mix well , pour in a mug ( you can add sugar to taste )
add whipped cream and choclate shaving on top , enjoy .
