    Recipe for Fattoush?

    Salam,

    Does anyone have a good recipe for the Syrian salad dish fattoush?

    well, since i have no knowlegde of how to do anything in the kitchen (except for using the microwave) i'll tell u what i know from using my 5 senses ... fattoush is just regular salad (lettuce, dried/ crushed peppermint leaves, tomatoes, lemon juice) and pieces of bread mixed w/ all of it...

    Fattouch salade
    Serves 3

    1/2 cucumber
    1/2 roamine lettuce
    2 midium tomatoes or one large
    1midium onion
    italien parsley 1&1/2 cup
    2 garlic cloves
    1/4 of a cup dried mint or one cup fraiche chopped mint
    the juce of 1 to 2lemons ( to taste)
    1tbs of white vinaigre
    1/2 cup of olive oil
    salt & black pepper to taste.
    1 tsp of sumak (optional)
    1 or 2 pita breads toasted and cut into bite size pieces.

    how to prepare

    slice cucomber into thin slices
    dice tomato
    dice the onion chopp parsley
    chopp the garlic very thin
    chopp the mint if fraiche , cruch between hands if it is dry mint,
    mix everything with the rest of the ingredients check taste ,then
    Enjoy

    Thanks B-B , I just have a couple of freinds from syria , and I'm very curious about cooking, I love cooking
