Salaam,
Its only 1 week away from Eid inshallah, and probably when we should start thinking about which cakes we are going to make for next weekend?
Please share your thoughts about which cakes you are going to make, then perhaps next week inshallah, when they are all done, everyone can post up a nice pic of all their cakes set out on a plate.

I wish I could share any with you! I have never made Eid cakes and probably won't EVER....I just receive them fresh and ready from my dear mummy!
But Houda & Lamise? are you not making la Baklawa?

My mom used to make a chocolate cake and a fruit cake every year. Because I'm lazy i'll be making a trifle. Cant decide between the two below. You know, i told my friend I was going to make a trifle or something else, and I can't remember what the something else is

Baklawa is not a typical Eid sweet. I like to make the light ones, petits fours, kaak annakash.
