    Bent Bladi , I just made Couscous and thought of u

    as soon i started making it , i thought of you .
    i m making it with lamb , and on the side onion raisin and cinamon mix . I forgot its name but in morocco , right on top of the couscous they put caramelized Onions cooked in cinamon , honey and raisins (sounds weird but to die for ) Bslamtek !! (bslamtek in morocco means wish you were here )

    (my kids made a face and looked miserable , couscous is not their favourite dish . but they ate it , in fact they hate couscous with a passion . unfortunately they only like stuff like homemade burgers, spaghetti bolognaise, lasagna , baked chicken , macaroni cheese, stuff like that . they dont mind a mild curry but they hate ethnic food . when i make tajine with peas and preserved lemons they make a face too )

    i have not eaten a dish with prunes for al long time , and i wont make it because it disgusts them . prunes are deseeded , the seed is replaced with an almond and the top of prunes is sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds . hum yummy . Meat is not sweet but salty but the prunes are sweet with a hint of cinamon )

    lol - when we were kids, we were forbidden to eat "american" food... but i remember the time when we first had fast food.... LOL... we were like addicted, bas of course, the heart demands satisfaction that only arabic food can supply

    nesreen, really do u have the recipe or something... maybe someday if i'm alone i'd like to attempt and make a cheap imitation of that
