Hi,
I just received the cookbook "from the land of figs & olives". I found that as Algerian receipes go it wasn't very helpful as most of the receipes were from other regions - but as a North African/MiddleEastern cookbook it's great and I suppose anyone who likes Algerian food would appreciate the recipes from the other regions as well.

Hi Tracey,
If you're in London Try Sakina book shop in Shepherds Bush, it's next to the tube station across from the market and it has an Algerian cookbook called Cous Cous. It's only a small book but fine for you to start with. Happy cooking and I hope you're husband enjoys the recipes.
