You said you didn't like the crescent shaped ones that were hard? Were they plain or like the ones here dusted with sugar? Anyway, I'm not a big fan of dusting with sugar, they are too sweet, I usually, pass them in honey instead. They shouldn't be hard unless you use too much water, you're only meant to use just a bit, just enough to get all ingredients into a dough! Actually the recipe I posted at the end of the first thread is the original one, and they are slightly tough, I make them differently, with 3 measures flour and one of melter butter, and if you want you can even add 1-2 egg yolks, that way, you are sure they won't be tough. And if it looks complicated to shape them, just go for any shape you want, it doesn't matter!

The crescent shaped ones were hard and some of them powdered and the others plain.
Hmm, are there pictures with the recipes as well? I have to see pictures so that way I know what they are supposed to look like
