Salam all,
Apart from mincemeat, what other stuffing can you use ? or do you use ?
And what ingredients do you use for the mincemeat stuffing ?

Salam Sis Houda-K. Tasty post
! Well I've used not only beef, or lamb, but also minced chicken, crabmeat, creamed cheese, or shredded spiced vegetables. I make a sweet style "borek" with chocolate and chopped nuts. I'd love to know how you prepare yours(?).
YUMMY!

Mincemeat is most commonly used, we also use minced chicken, cheese, tuna, prawns, mushrooms spinach or other vegetables. Sometimes in the East of Algeria, only eggs are used. Sometimes combined with white saice (béchamel).
I think mincemeat is the traditional version but nowadays different stuffings are used.
For mincemeat stuffing, we use onion, garlic, an egg, parsley, salt and pepper.

Tasty post indeed.............
I prepare my boreaq’s as Amina suggested, the traditional Algerian way, but I add more spices with the mincemeat.
I also make them like Spring rolls, with chicken pieces, bean sprouts, white cabbage and carrots.
Please share your recipes, especially creamed cheese and of course the chocolate & chopped nuts.

sure no problem sister houda
you use chiken breast fillets boiled in cinamin blak peper and salt
you can use any cheese really but white is best, i love to use a spoon of white spreadable cheese like philadelphia or direalye (dnt no how u spell that, its like kiddy cheese that comes in a blue tub, or triangles.)
you then get the chiken and tear it apart with your fingers so its like shreded.
chop the parsley and add to the chiken, dnt mix the chiken and cheese you have to put them onto the pastry seperatly, start by adding the chiken into your shaped pastry then put a spoon of cheese.
am sorry if that doesnt make sense im not good at describing cooking in words.
you can add grated green pepers and carrots if you want, but i prefer just chiken and cheese.
