A very traditional dish for weddings and at Eid in Morocco, and it’s called bastilla/ pastilla.
There available in every Moroccan restaurant in the UK, so you can eat until your stomach's content

Apologies for the delay.............my system is really s~l~o~w

Oh know, you don’t like it ?
It’s gorgeous. Having said that, there are different versions of this dish like many others cuisine’s that vary across regions etc
What a shame, I bet if I made it, you’d like it

...mmm I love Pastilla
The Algerian version is slightly different from the Moroccan one. We don't use sugar on top. En plus we use a layer of shredded cooked chicken, another of mincemeat and a last one of eggs (optional) with parsley and spices (and coriander? I think).

And this is the squid, prawns ... version!

Salam ~ DD ~
Sugar and cinnamon is optional.
I love the plain chicken and eggs.
The seafood one looks just as nice.
~ Amina ~ for the images
I had to laugh at the similarity of the crockery we both use.
