Lamb Brochetts
Ingredients
For 6 people
* 1 kg beef or lamb meat
* 1 onion finely chopped
* 4 garlic cloves crushed
* 1/2 bouquet parsley finely chopped
* 1/2 bouquet coriander finely chopped
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* Paprika
* Cumin
* Safron
* 1/2 glass olive oil
* Salt
* Black pepper
Preparation
Cut the meat into big cubes. Put in a big bowl and mix with the onion, parsley, spices and olive oil.
Mix everything with your hand and leave to marinate for 2 hours.
Make brochettes and grill while turning occasionally.
Chicken Brochetts

For 3 people
* 2 chicken breasts
* 1 onion finely chopped
* 1/2 bouquet parsley finely chopped
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* Paprika
* Cumin
* 1 pinch of safran
* Olive oil
* Salt
* Black pepper
Preparation
Cut chicken meat into big cubes (about 3 cm). Put in a big bowl, add onion, parsley, lemon juice, spices and olive oil. Mix with your hand and leave to marinate for 2 hours.
Make brochettes and grill.

Never heard of them being called Brochettes.
We call them Kefta or Kotban.

As for meat skewered on a stick I've only heard Algerians refer to them as brochettes or chwa in Algeria as well.
