Ingredients
* 600 g flour
* 20 g baking powder
* 1 pinch of salt
* Oil
Preparation
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and a little bit of tepid water.
Knead well while adding water in small quantities until you get a firm dough. Continue to knead for another 15-20 mins.
Add water slowly and continue kneading till the dough becomes elastic.
Cover and leave to rest for about 3 hrs in a warm place.
Take a ball of dough, the size of a lemon, and make a hole in the middle and shape into a Sfanja
Fry in very hot oil.
Serve hot with mint tea (and honey - optional).

Lol I think from looking at your cakes pic and knowing that mgergshat look like them you can deduce that it basically means ugly and "msentah", I think in Oran they say: "Sabi malek mkerkesh?"Originally posted by Amina-DZ
Sometimes I wonder what they were thinking about when they named some of the food in Algeria!Originally posted by kassawess

Actually I don't know it!
