Hello everyone,
I am an irish lady married to a lovely berber man. I am always looking for recipes to make him feel at home. I have been reading the cuisine forum and think everyone on here is really lovely and great at explaining the directions. I was wondering if you have a recipe for "Dobara soup". I dont know how to spell it or what is in it except for chick peas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi ladies!
To all foreigners married to Algerian. You can learn all you need by having Canal Algerie on cable.
They have very good cooking programmes. On Saturday 11:15 GMT Cooking in French. Sunday 12:30 to 13:30PM in Arabic they get letters from USA, Canada and Europe thanking them for the excellent food. You should all start watching it is very good programme and beside you can learn so much about the culture, the sight, clothes etc.
Good luck

Doubara is a dish from East of Algeria (we call it doubara Biskra),
here's how I prepar it, but someone should translate for you,

Damya
Thx for the recipe, we need someone to tell us about Algerian cuisine in East Algeria
Angel_eyes said she can speak French so hopefully there shouldn't be a problem!
Is it a meatless soup then? Also no vegetables apart from tomatoes and onions? And no vermicelli or anything similar? I'm just curious!
