There are two variations of this preparation in India.
They are popular & cheap to make.
1.Instead of making it in the pasty consistancy,
it is made into balls by hand.
This is called,"Rava Ladu"
2.Boil milk, water & sugar & saffron.
Slowly add roasted semolina,
cashew nuts, almonds and cook till the water is
absorbed.
Pour into a plate.Mix some butter or ghee.
Shape into cups.
This is called "kesri bhaat"

We have many variants of Tamine.
Some tamine is made with flowr some with wheat.
There is also the solid version of tamine (pieces).
We can also make it with olive oil (i think we call it Ezzrire) optionally mixing it with Foul and have it for breakfast( Bou bekha).
