I would love to get to know some fellow Algerians, especially those in and around the London area. Can anyone offer some advice about living and getting work experience here in the UK? I wondered if anyone knew the best way of getting a job within the construction industry for someone without UK experience?

Welcome aboard brother Lucky you! you landed on a country with similar construction standards to algerian ones (european standards), I dont't think it's gonna be a problem for you to get to work with a lot of algerians around. It was more difficult for me in the US, I started from scratch learning the standards of wood framing construction (construction ta'a les buchettes). Good luck in your job search, give yourself enough time witout giving up
