    Hi! Newbie from Mexico.

    Hello everybody! My name is Pedro and I'm from Acapulco but right now studying at Puebla-Cholula. I absolutely love the Maghreb. Those countries have a really special place in my heart, I don't know why. Maybe is because I really love that period of the history of Spain called Al Andalus and I like to think of myself that as a spanish speaking person it is part of my heritage, so much that I've become a muslim, al hamdoulillah. Actually the first friend that I made at the mosque is an Algerian guy from Tébessa and because of him I've known other Algerians living in Mexico. Well, that's all for now I guess. It's nice to be here.

    So is there a large comunity of Algerians in Mexico? where are they based mostly?

    Thanks for your comments guys and for such a warm welcome! Actually the islamic community here in Mexico is very small and not united at all. Inch'allah it'll get better for us soon.
    Same for Algerians in Mexico. I think there are more Moroccans. But still you can find some Algerians around. In fact there is an Algerian restaurant near where my family lives in Mexico City called La Casbah, it's owner is Hussein from Oran.
