I've been married to an Algerian from Kabyle for 16 years and I've just visited Algeria for the first time (to meet my husband's family) and it was a life changing event for me ... I had the most fantastic experience of Algeria and its people and I can't wait to return.![]()

I know what you mean
Hey there,
I've also been out to Kabylia - 3 times now. I'm British and my husband is Algerian living near to Tizi Ouzou. I felt impelled to write to you as I completely identify with how hospitable and charming people are from this part of the world. I don't hold any romantic ideologies about the place (well, maybe just a few) and am fully aware that it's both patronising and impossible to generalise. However, I just love where my in-laws come from and every time my experiences have simply got better. If you'd like to compare notes and get in touch, please email me using Algeria.com.
Sahet,
Sacha
