    Indeed, I've always been fascinated by them too... my dream as a kid was to climb the Everest. I still dont lose hope

    Atakor is a massif in the Hoggar (near Tamanghast). culminating at mount Tahat ~ 3000 m.

    In your research type the following keywords:
    Atakor
    mount Tahat
    hoggar
    ahaggar
    (useful references are in books.google.com)

    I've heard about ''mount Tahat, Ahagar, Hogar'' but I have NEVER Heard before about Atakor ....I understand now why Al khiyal put that image ...

    I wish to go there and visit Tamenghasset one day!
