LOL I'm glad u said u'll sound stubborn cuz u domay be I am too
I can see the posts that have been deleted had some swearing and that's nothing to do with freedon of speech. OK may be I'm talking out of experience I know it as a matter of fact that when cheap language is used then there is no respect between the members. I think as civilised people living in civilised societies, we need to learn to tackle conflicts without over-reacting. I personally have to deal with conflicts a lot at work and have to be diplomatic otherwise I would not last a minute lol!! also I'm not Muslim but all my Muslim friends tell me about how in Islam controlling temper is very important and not getting angry etc. So I'm glad to see that here most of the time
I dont't remember where I saw swearing and insults but they have been deleted. I think it was between Moroccans and Algerians. I'm not Arab but I have Algerian and Moroccan friends and they get on well together.
When I said you gave me a bad idea about the site, I might have exaggerated but I was referring to when u talked about freedom of speech and insinuated that there is noneI could've ran away lol
OK Peace from me
Salaam

Yes indeed there was swearing between Algerians and Morrocans I knew that thread would end up like that. Myself I swore, but then I ended up editing my post, I was provoked my a member and he was more insulting than giving his views, anyways I explained many times that that should not have happened, the person it happened with is not even a frequent visitor.Originally posted by Basma

Otherwise swearing have been used in a friendly funny way sometimes because its just part of the joke
Nevertheless I have been told even this kind is not allowed (although only me was told
). but thats ok its not like I like swearing lol. Good to mention that there was never dirty swearing just you know words that I am sure lots of people use daily.
Yes I know that freedom of speech does not mean you can insult others, but moderating does not mean censoring either!
So I Think we agree
have a nice day
P.s I know how its like in the work place lol, usually I dont have any problems because of the respect of each other an the multicultural environment, but I bet If I worked in a third world country where there is that mentality I wouldnt survive a day lol
