    Salam ~ N~

    TO ALGERIA.COM

Masha Allah, we have yet another ½ Moroccan on this forum.

We also, have another member of this forum who is both half Moroccan and half Algerian, Hind introduce yourself pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So, Nawal, both your parents are Berbers. I, personally think there is a huge difference between the Algerian and Moroccan Berbers. I have found that the Moroccan Berbers are very religious and stick to their deen a lot more than the Algerian Berbers. Do you dis/agree ?

    Take care & happy posting.

    hey houda!

hmmm since Khokom has been policing wisdom seeker for using generalisations..in the name of fairness then i think i should step in here!! I know you didnt use the words ALL Algerian berbers..but still it could be construed as generalising..no offense khoti lol just pointing out!

    Salam ~ etoile ~

Good to see you on the board.

Hmmm, I see your point, and I hope I haven’t caused any offence to the members & guests on this forum.

Yes, generalisations are meaningless, welakeen this is solely based on my personal experience.

Welcome Nawal I hope you'll enjoy

PS: Houda, Berbers in Algeria are very religious too, especially the Mozabites (Ibadiyines) who live in the south of Algeria (Ghardaia, Berriane, Wargla). You visit them and you will be mesmerized at their level of deen. The chawiyas and Touaregs are also good practicing Muslims. There is only a minority In Kabylia that don't practice but still their elders are very religious. The new generation is sending a political message in order to have their culture, language and traditions ackonwledged.
