    I think our history is full of subjectivity.
    the liberation war ,the independance ,the political struggle before the fifties ,the popular resistance....
    what do you think guys?

    theres a book called "lies my teacher told me in high school" thats really good dealing with history etc... its abt america not algeria.. but still good read

    Just look at Messali Elhadj and how many he changes from the greatest resistance fighter to the worst traitor, according to the day's DZ ruling person.
    But this is something we can find everywhere. France's taught history talks about holocaust, but not a word is said on those who betrayed their country when the Nazis invaded France. And hey, they were about to add that colonialism had a damn good effect on invaded ppl...
    One can see other examples in Bosnia, Croatia, Russia,...etc

    The solution IMHO is to get the politics out of history research/education and let the historians (I believe there are honnest ones) do their job...
