Happy 1st November - Algerian Revolution

Remembrance of the start of the Algerian revolution led by the FLN against the French!!

Sadly it's also the start of the insurgency, the mass killings and ultimately the genocide that was committed against our people!!!

    Any celebrations in Algeria?

The program here is really good.
The three TV channels are broadcasting old movies on the revolution. Many special programs.
Visits to the Shouhada graves are organised.
Every culture and youth house is organising many special activities. But I still miss our childhood demonstrations.

Definitely same here We had "smth plus" in those days. It's a pity that the new generation doesn't understand the sacrifices made for this country. But I feel things are changing again. There is a kind of "sahwa" in all aspects and who knows, things may change.

Sahwa, you say?? you're very optimistic!

I hope so Manrvi, do hope so....all I can say is that our generation is better than what's coming! every generation is worse than the one before...and that has been noticed UNIVERSALLY! so much for our future!!

So, your generation is worse than the one before ....
Why? Is it because the old generation have more moral values than the one after? or something else?
