    U.S. Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division - Images from Algeria


    The Prints & Photographs Online Catalog (PPOC) provides access through group or item records to about 75% of the Division's holdings, as well as to some images found in other units of the Library of Congress. Many of the catalog records are accompanied by digital images - about 1.2 million digital images in all. Paper finding aids, card catalogs, and browsing files of pictures available on site cover many of the remaining collections.....

    Below is a picture of the admiralty in Algiers. I know for a fact that what is on the lower right hand side corner are Algerian canons (before 1830) buried by the French. They were buried along all the admiralty. I don t know if all of them have been retreived.
