Mediterranean film festival
Some 200 films from 40 countries are on show in Rome for the 12th edition of the MedFilm Festival, 5-19 November. The theme for this year’s festival is “identity and work”, and among the highlights are a selection of recent Algerian films as well as a number of premieres, including that of Iberia by the Spanish director Carlos Saura. Four venues are taking part: the Auditorium della Conciliazione, Cinema Trevi, Museo di Roma in Trastevere and the Casa dell’Architettura. Entrance is free to events at the Cinema Trevi (normal-length films), the Museo di Roma in Trastevere (shorts and documentaries) and the Casa dell’Architettura (seminars). Tickets for the main films, shown at the Auditorium della Conciliazione, cost €2.50 each, or €10 for a weekly pass. The complete programme can be seen at Med Film Festival.
