February 5, 2009 -- Electronic folkers Tunng have announced that their recent collaboration with world music stars Tinariwen is set to tour the UK in March.

Tunng and three members of Tinariwen came together earlier this year to record a session for BBC Radio 3's Late Junction. The results of this collaboration are dur to be aired on Late Junction on Thursday 19th February 2009.

Six piece twisted folk-pop collective Tunng will be joined by Abdallah Ag Alhousseyni (guitar, vocals), Eyadou Ag Leche (guitars, bass guitar, vocals) and Said Ag Ayad (percussion, vocals) from the Southern Algerian one time soldier-musicians whose name comes from "Kel Tinariwen" meaning 'desert boys'.
