"Tamni Reda alias Reda Taliani est un chanteur et un musicien de raï né en 1980 à El-Biar. Aujourd’hui, il habite à Aubagne (Bouches-du-Rhône), près de Marseille. À l’âge de 5 ans, il poursuit une formation musicale au conservatoire de la musique arabo-andalouse de Koléa où il se met à l’étude de la mandoline et à d’autres instruments de musique. Reda Taliani débute sa carrière musicale dans la ville d’El-Eulma avec Issame, de la production Eleulma-Phone avec qui il collabore pendant 4 ans, pour changer ensuite de producteur (Dounia production); il devient l’un des meilleurs chanteurs du raï. Reda Taliani est un des chanteurs algériens contemporains le plus adulé des pays du Maghreb."

Thanks for the description. I typed his name in youtube to listen to his music but I couldn't listen more than few seconds. Are you sure he's from the best singers in Algeria?! :S

Anyway, les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas.

But whether a singer is in Algiers, Marseille or Dubei, I don't feel this is much important...is it?!

This section is a place to add news of concerts, exhibitions, film festivals etc. that 'Algerians abroad might enjoy' - there are many Algerians scattered around the world so it is no harm to let them know of events where various elements of their traditions can be enjoyed, and where there is a good chance of them meeting other Algerians. And for non-Algerians around the world too, it gives them an opportunity to go along and taste some Algerian culture. If I ever find details of forthcoming events, I add them here for information.

Yes, I've understood that this famous singer (unknown for me) is someone that some (it can't be most) Algerians like. If he's making them happy..eh why not.
