Thank you very much!!
Well, my family name is Buzian and I'm Romanian and I've never had any connections with Jewish or Arabic culture and I was teribly surprised to see the frequence of the same name (Bouziane) in Algeria, a land so far from our country...
Your explanation was very clear and I am very pleased with it!! Thanks a lot!!!

the name is pronounced in the exactly the same way Bouziane is pronounced...
I've done some researches and there may be an explanation to this... When Romans conquered these lands, about 1900 years ago, they brought some Legions from Middle East and also from North Africa, the Syrian and Lybian legions. These guys were very good fighters and thanks to their results in battle against local Dacians, they were permitted to retire and the Empire gave them land in the new Dacia Romana.
The same thing happened to conquered Dacians. They were triggered in Britannia thousands miles away, to fight against Anglo-Saxons, due to the same style of fighting
Maybe one of my ancestors was one of these North African or Middle East people. Because I know that my name is centuries old, here in Romania.
but anyway, many thanks for greetings and interest shown. I'm glad that I've joined this forum...
