A second language really helps to broaden your world-view.
If you're interested in learning a language, podcasts are an effective and entertaining way, just by listening to it over and over. iTunes has a whole section of podcasts devoted to language, and best of all, they're mostly all free.
The language-by-podcast road:
iTunes Music Store -> Podcast -> Education -> Language Courses.
Alas, I saw no Teach-Yourself-Arabic-Podcasts.

true, true... the ipod doesn't have a voice recording device, which i NEED for college... but for the language thing, it'd be nice if i could brush up on my spanish...
