Share here anything useful for learning Arabic Calligraphy - or other if you wish...(and perhaps some of your own work too!), an art that has always fascinated me and would love to take it up as a new little hobby.

Samedi 8 Décembre 2007 -- La Ministre de la culture, Mme Khalida Toumi a procédé avant-hier, au Palais des Raïs, à Alger, à l’ouverture du Festival international consacré à la calligraphie arabe et à l’art décoratif islamique. Ce Festival, qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de la manifestation Alger, capitale de la culture arabe 2007 verra la participation de plusieurs chercheurs et calligraphes arabes, à leur tête Youcef Denoune.

L’exposition qui se tient à cette occasion, contient près de 200 tableaux calligraphiques et décoratifs. La ministre de la culture, accompagnée par le commissaire du festival, Abdelhamid Eskandar, et d’un nombre de chercheurs et des calligraphes participant à cette manifestation d’envergure, ont visité l’ensemble de ces œuvres.

Aussi, ce festival qui durera 10 jours, verra l’organisation des ateliers consacrés à la calligraphie arabe et à l’art décoratif islamique, et qui seront encadrés par M.Fouad Bechar. Il convient de souligner que des conférences se tiendront aussi au cours de ce festival international.

Par ailleurs, cette manifestation est organisée avec la participation de 80 calligraphes algériens et étrangers, nous citeront Daoud Bektache, expert en l’art de la calligraphie arabe à Eurseka, en Turquie, Youcef Denoune, Salah Chirazade, Farid El Oulay, Mouhamed El Bahirie, un Algérien résidant en Jordanie, Abd El Ghani EL Ani, Yacine Dradra, résidant à Paris et disciple d’El Ani, il maîtrise le Perse iranien. On cite également Mohamed Amzil, qui tient part à cette manifestation.
