assalmu alaikum
On Tuesday I will be teaching Arabic to people (teens and adults) at a World Language Fair. Because Arabic is obviously written in script, I will most likely be using English characters to show/teach them words or phrases. Now here is my question: What words or phrases should I teach these people? I only have 5-10 minutes with each small group and I wanted your opinion on what words or phrases you think I should teach them within that small amount of time.
I also wanted to do a tiny segment on how everyone here (U.S.) mispronounces Iraq and Iran (like I-raq or I-ran). It annoys me :P
What do you guys think?

haha, my dad did something like that once... he taught everyone how to say "Hi, how are you" and "Hi, my name is ..." I think those two phrases will fill up your time...
also, if you know who will be attending, it'd be cool if you gave them name tags with their names in arabic ... lol they're go crazy over it.
as for the mispronunciation of Iraq ... the most you could do is get them to say it like "EEraq" they'll choke on the 3ain lol. "EEran" would work though
GOOD LUCK!!
